This article analyzed the use of computers and the internet by teachers in elementary education and Youth and Adult Education (EJA) at the Augusta Leopoldina do Monte Municipal School in Francisco Dantas, Rio Grande do Norte. It sought to understand the contributions, challenges, and possibilities regarding pedagogical practice and the teaching-learning process. The research adopted a qualitative approach and was conducted through bibliographic, documentary, and field research. Methods included analyzing the institution's Political-Pedagogical Project and Internal Regulations, administering questionnaires to teachers, and observing interactions within the school context. The results revealed the presence of various technological resources at the school and indicated that approximately 80% of the teachers reported using the internet daily to support their pedagogical work—primarily for research, accessing information, communication, and exchanging experiences. The findings also highlighted how training in "Introduction to Digital Education" expanded the possibilities for technology use, while simultaneously underscoring the need for continuing education, planning, and teacher mediation to ensure a more intentional and meaningful pedagogical integration. The study concludes that the mere availability of technological resources does not guarantee their integration into educational practices; rather, institutional conditions and training opportunities are required to foster their critical, reflective use in alignment with educational objectivesDownloads
